Frequently Asked Questions

  • Documentary photography focuses on real moments instead of posed ones. Rather than directing every movement or asking everyone to smile at the camera, I observe and document your family as you interact naturally. I may offer gentle guidance when needed, but the goal is to create images that feel honest, emotional, and true to who you are — not staged or forced.

  • That’s completely okay — and expected. Your children don’t need to perform or behave a certain way. I photograph families exactly as they are, and those real moments often become the most meaningful images.

  • Yes. After booking, you’ll receive simple guidance to help you feel prepared without overthinking it — including clothing suggestions and help choosing a location if needed.

  • No. Real life is welcome here. Your home doesn’t need to look a certain way to be worthy of being documented.

  • Newborn sessions are typically scheduled during the first few weeks after your baby arrives, but flexibility is built in. I recommend booking your session while you’re still pregnant to reserve a spot on my calendar. Once your baby is born, we’ll finalize the exact date based on how everyone is feeling. These sessions are baby-led and unhurried, allowing plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and breaks.
